Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of Terms

BlipDeals ("BlipDeals", "we", "us", "our") operates the website at www.blipdeals.com and related mobile applications (together, the "Platform"). These Terms of Use ("Terms"), together with our Privacy Policy, form a legally binding agreement between you and BlipDeals under the Indian Contract Act, 1872 and the Information Technology Act, 2000 (including its rules on electronic records — no physical or digital signature is required). By accessing or using the Platform you accept these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.

You must be at least 18 years of age and competent to contract under the Indian Contract Act, 1872 to register an account or use the Platform.

2. What BlipDeals Is — and Is Not

BlipDeals is a community-driven deal-discovery platform where deals, offers, coupons, and price drops from third-party online retailers are listed, discussed, and voted on. We are an aggregator and an "intermediary" within the meaning of Section 2(1)(w) of the Information Technology Act, 2000 with respect to content made available through the Platform.

  • We do not sell, stock, manufacture, or deliver any product or service.
  • We do not process payments for purchases and are not a party to any transaction between you and a retailer.
  • We are not an e-commerce marketplace or seller, and listings on the Platform are not offers by us capable of acceptance — they are pointers to offers made by third-party retailers on their own platforms and terms.

3. How Deals Are Generated — AI & User Submissions

Deals and related content on the Platform come from two sources: (a) automated systems, including artificial-intelligence (AI) tools, which collect, extract, summarise, reword, and publish deal information from publicly available internet sources (such as retailer pages and public channels); and (b) submissions by community users. Content may be machine-generated or machine-modified without human review.

Because of this, deal titles, descriptions, prices, discounts, images, coupon codes, availability, and links may be incomplete, outdated, mis-extracted, or simply wrong. BlipDeals does not verify and does not take responsibility of any kind for any deal or other content on the Platform, howsoever generated. All content is provided for general information only and does not constitute advice, a recommendation, an endorsement, or a representation by us. You must independently verify every price, offer, coupon, and product detail on the retailer's own website before relying on it or making a purchase.

4. Affiliate Disclosure

Many links on the Platform are affiliate links. When you click through and make a purchase, we may earn a commission from the retailer or an affiliate network at no additional cost to you. This commission funds the Platform. Affiliate relationships do not influence community voting or the order in which deals are displayed beyond our documented ranking logic.

5. Accounts & Security

You may register using Google, an email one-time code, or a password. You agree to provide accurate information, to maintain only one account, and not to transfer or sell your account. You are responsible for all activity under your account and for keeping your credentials and devices secure; notify us immediately at [email protected] of any unauthorised use. Your username and profile are public — do not include personal information you do not wish to share. We are not liable for any loss arising from unauthorised use of your account that is not caused by us.

6. User-Generated Content

You retain ownership of the deals, comments, images, and other content you submit ("User Content"), and you grant BlipDeals a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, transferable licence to host, store, reproduce, adapt (including AI-assisted reformatting or rewording), publish, display, and distribute it on and in connection with the Platform, including in newsletters, social channels, and promotional surfaces.

You are solely responsible for your User Content and represent that you have all rights necessary to post it. As an intermediary, BlipDeals does not initiate the transmission of, select the receiver of, or (except as described in Section 3) modify User Content, and is exempt from liability for third-party information in accordance with Section 79 of the Information Technology Act, 2000.

We operate a zero-tolerance policy for objectionable content and abusive users. Every deal and comment can be reported from within the Platform. We may review, moderate (including with automated tools), refuse, edit, hold, remove, or decline to restore any content, and may restrict, suspend, or terminate any account, at our discretion and without liability. We act on valid takedown requests and lawful orders as required by applicable law.

7. Prohibited Conduct

In line with Rule 3(1)(b) of the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, you must not host, display, upload, publish, transmit, or share any content that:

  • belongs to another person or to which you have no right;
  • is defamatory, obscene, pornographic, paedophilic, invasive of another's privacy (including bodily privacy), insulting or harassing on the basis of gender, or racially or ethnically objectionable;
  • encourages money laundering, gambling, or is otherwise unlawful;
  • is harmful to children;
  • infringes any patent, trademark, copyright, or other proprietary right;
  • deceives or misleads about the origin of a message, or knowingly and intentionally communicates misinformation or information that is patently false or misleading;
  • impersonates another person;
  • threatens the unity, integrity, defence, security, or sovereignty of India, friendly relations with foreign states, or public order, or incites any cognisable offence;
  • contains a software virus or any code designed to disrupt or limit any computer resource; or
  • violates any law for the time being in force.

In addition, you must not:

  • post your own affiliate, referral, or cashback links, or links you are not authorised to share;
  • manipulate votes, reputation, "worked for me" signals, or coupon feedback, including through multiple accounts or automation;
  • post spam, bulk promotions, or deceptive deals;
  • scrape, crawl, or bulk-download the Platform, or use Platform content to build a competing dataset or service, without our prior written permission;
  • probe, bypass, or interfere with the Platform's security, rate limits, or moderation systems; or
  • frame or mirror the Platform or copy its source code.

8. Pricing, Coupons & Availability

Prices, discounts, stock, shipping, and coupon validity are set and changed by retailers, not by us, and can change or be withdrawn at any moment. A coupon may be user-submitted, expired, region-limited, account-limited, or never have been valid. We make no promise that any price, offer, or coupon shown on the Platform is accurate, current, redeemable, or the lowest available, and we are not liable for any difference between a listed price and the price actually charged by a retailer. Always confirm the final price and terms on the retailer's site before purchasing.

9. Third-Party Retailers & Links

The Platform links to third-party websites and apps that we do not control, review, or endorse. Your purchases, payments, deliveries, returns, refunds, warranties, after-sales service, and disputes are strictly between you and the retailer and are governed by the retailer's own terms and policies. BlipDeals is not responsible for the products, services, content, data practices, or conduct of any third party, and you release us from any claim arising out of your dealings with them — including product defects, deficiencies in service, misrepresentation, non-delivery, or misuse of data you provide to them.

10. Intellectual Property

The Platform — including its name, logo, design, software, databases, and editorial content (such as Essentials guides) — is owned by or licensed to BlipDeals and protected by Indian and international IP laws. Except for normal personal, non-commercial use of the Platform, you may not copy, modify, distribute, republish, or create derivative works from it without our prior written consent. Third-party product names, brand names, and logos shown on the Platform belong to their respective owners; their appearance does not imply any affiliation with or endorsement of BlipDeals.

If you believe content on the Platform infringes your intellectual property or other rights, write to [email protected] with the content URL, proof of your rights, and your contact details, and we will act in accordance with applicable law.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Platform and all content on it are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, express or implied — including warranties of accuracy, completeness, timeliness, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted or error-free operation, or that the Platform is free of viruses or other harmful components. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Platform at any time without notice. You are responsible for your own device security and internet connectivity.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law: (a) BlipDeals, its owners, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or anticipated savings, arising out of or relating to the Platform, any content on it (whether AI-generated or user-submitted), or any transaction with a third-party retailer — even if advised of the possibility of such damages; and (b) our total aggregate liability for all claims arising out of or relating to the Platform or these Terms shall not exceed INR 1,000 (Indian Rupees one thousand). The Platform is provided free of charge, and you agree this limitation is a reasonable allocation of risk. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under Indian law.

13. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless BlipDeals and its owners, employees, and agents from and against any claim, demand, loss, liability, cost, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or relating to: (a) your User Content; (b) your use or misuse of the Platform; (c) your breach of these Terms or of any law; (d) your infringement of any third party's rights, including intellectual-property and defamation claims by brands, retailers, or other users; or (e) your transactions or disputes with any third party.

14. Mobile Applications & App Stores

If you use a BlipDeals app downloaded from the Apple App Store or Google Play (each, an "App Store"), the following also apply:

  • These Terms are concluded between you and BlipDeals only — not with Apple Inc. or Google LLC. The App Store provider is not responsible for the app or its content and has no obligation to furnish maintenance or support for it.
  • Your use of the app must also comply with the applicable App Store terms of service (including the Apple Media Services Terms and the usage rules therein, and the Google Play Terms of Service).
  • In the event of any failure of the app to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify the App Store provider, which may refund the purchase price (if any); to the maximum extent permitted by law, the App Store provider has no other warranty obligation with respect to the app.
  • The App Store provider is not responsible for addressing any claims by you or any third party relating to the app, including product-liability claims, claims that the app fails to conform to legal or regulatory requirements, consumer-protection claims, or intellectual-property claims.
  • You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a relevant government embargo and are not on any government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
  • Apple Inc. and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms with respect to the iOS app and may enforce these Terms against you.

15. Suspension, Termination & Account Deletion

We may suspend or terminate your access, remove your content, or withhold features at any time if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or applicable law, or to protect the Platform or its users. You may stop using the Platform at any time and may request deletion of your account as described in the Privacy Policy. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 3, 6, and 9–13) survive it.

16. Grievance Redressal

In accordance with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, complaints about content or the Platform may be addressed to our Grievance Officer at [email protected] (subject line: "Grievance"). We will acknowledge complaints within 24 hours and endeavour to resolve them within 15 days of receipt. Requests for removal of content of the kinds listed in Rule 3(2)(b) (e.g. impersonation in an electronic form, or artificially morphed images of an individual) will be actioned within 24 hours of receipt of a complaint from the individual or someone on their behalf.

17. Force Majeure

We are not liable for any delay or failure to perform resulting from causes beyond our reasonable control, including acts of God, natural disasters, war, terrorism, riots, labour disputes, government action, epidemics, power or internet failures, or failures of hosting and infrastructure providers.

18. Changes to These Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. The "Last updated" date above will reflect the latest version, and material changes may also be notified on the Platform. Your continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

19. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms and any dispute arising out of or in connection with them or the Platform are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you may have, the courts at Gandhinagar, Gujarat, India shall have exclusive jurisdiction.

20. General

If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force, and the invalid provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permissible. Our failure to enforce any right is not a waiver of it. You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them in connection with a reorganisation or transfer of the Platform. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and BlipDeals regarding the Platform.
