The house rules

Community Guidelines

BlipDeals is built by people sharing genuinely good deals. These guidelines keep it that way — read them once, and you’ll fit right in.

✓Please do

Post real, verified deals

Share genuine offers you would recommend to a friend. Double-check the price and link on the retailer’s site before posting — a deal that’s already dead or wrong wastes everyone’s time.

Be kind and stay on topic

Disagree about a deal, not about the person. Helpful comments, honest experiences and friendly banter are what make BlipDeals worth visiting.

Report what doesn’t belong

See spam, abuse, a fake coupon or an expired deal? Use the report button on any deal or comment. Reporting is anonymous and helps our moderators act fast.

Vote honestly

Upvote deals that are genuinely good and downvote the ones that aren’t. One account, one honest vote — that’s what keeps the best deals on top.

✕Please don’t

Don’t post your own affiliate or referral links

BlipDeals earns through its own affiliate tags so the platform stays free. Posting your personal affiliate, referral, cashback or invite links — or links you aren’t authorised to share — is not allowed and is a fast track to a ban.

Don’t promote your own business

BlipDeals is for community deals, not self-promotion. No advertising your shop, service, channel, dropshipping store or “DM me” offers in deals, comments or your profile.

Don’t abuse or harass other members

Zero tolerance for harassment, hate speech, threats, slurs, doxxing, or content that targets someone by gender, religion, caste, race or identity. Attack the deal, never the person.

Don’t game votes or reputation

No multiple accounts, bots, vote rings, or fake “worked for me” / coupon feedback. Manipulating the signals other shoppers rely on gets every linked account removed.

Don’t spam or post deceptive deals

No bulk posting, repetitive promotions, misleading titles, fake discounts or clickbait. If a deal isn’t what it claims to be, it doesn’t belong here.

Don’t post illegal or objectionable content

Nothing unlawful, obscene, infringing, or harmful to minors — as set out in our Terms of Use and India’s IT Rules. This includes pirated goods, counterfeits and anything you don’t have the right to share.

What happens if you break the rules

Our moderators (and automated systems) review reported deals and comments. Depending on how serious the breach is, we may:

  • 1. Remove or hide the offending deal or comment.
  • 2. Issue a warning and reverse any reputation you gained from it.
  • 3. Temporarily suspend your account.
  • 4. Permanently ban your account — and any linked accounts — for serious or repeated violations, with no warning for things like vote manipulation, harassment, or spamming affiliate links.

We apply these at our discretion to protect the community. If you think we got it wrong, write to [email protected].

These guidelines are part of, and summarise, our Terms of Use (see sections 6 and 7). For how we handle your data, see our Privacy Policy.
